A Bike Trip to Pulau Ubin
I made a bike trip to Pulau Ubin (just me & my bike) on Dec 6, 2001 (Agere Plant Shutdown). Here is a brief statistics. I woke up at 7.15am. Checked my tires, filled up my camelbak, checked my camera & accessories and was ready to ready to hit the road with my Yellow Cheetah at about 8.00am. Reached Changi Village at about 8.25am. Took a 10-min bump boat ride to Ubin. Left Pulau Ubin at about 11.15am and reached Elias Green at about noon with plenty of time for the rest of the afternoon. A word of advice to those who haven't been or cycle on Pulau Ubin. Make a trip there soon before the authority develop the place into a residential area. It is probably the last place in Singapore where time stood still for decades but not for long....
